The Damilano wine shop is a point of reference where you may taste and purchase the wines born among the Grand Crus in the historic areas of Cannubi, Liste, Cerequio, and Brunate.
The interior design follows the natural features of the surrounding environment.
From the moment you step in, the references to the archetype forms are quite clear: the sedimentation of the Langa area and the lay-out of the trellis end posts are referenced in the inclined lines of the shelf design and the wires decorating the revolving entrance door.
The space has a “box-style” oak slat paneling, and is subdivided in 3 areas: a counter in the back area for information and purchases; a raised table with stools for “informal” tasting; and a round white marble table with transparent chairs for “formal and ritual” tasting.
The materials used for the furnishings are wood as used in cellars, naturally antiqued iron, and Langhe soil-colored resin – recalling the freshly ploughed clumps – creating a purposely modern environment, embellished by ceiling chandeliers that evoke the atmosphere of ancient ballrooms.
